"Will the surgery help my dog?"

The owner was concerned about several small growths (papillomas) around her dog’s mouth. Her veterinarian recommended a minor surgery to remove them—a procedure that would also greatly reduce the likelihood of the growths returning.
The querent is signified by Venus at 2° Taurus. The querent’s dog is signified by Jupiter retrograde at 13° Leo.
Mars is the natural ruler of surgeries and, in this chart, also rules the 7th house, signifying the doctor who will help the querent restore the dog’s health.
The Moon, being just inside the 6th house, indicates “impostumations,” a traditional term for cysts, abscesses, or similar swellings. The Moon also naturally rules things that grow quickly or overnight and are pale in color - an apt description of papillomas. This confirms that the papillomas are indeed what is affecting the dog.
The Moon at 18° Pisces is in the triplicity of Mars, showing that the surgery has power over the papillomas. Its next aspect is a conjunction with the Sun at the end of its cycle - a very positive testimony.
Mars at 21° Aries is in no dignity of the Moon, again showing that the surgery has power over the papillomas. Mars is also in the triplicity of Jupiter, which is another favorable sign. No planet afflicts Jupiter, indicating that the dog will come through the situation well.
And so it proved: as advised, the owner proceeded with the surgery. Everything went smoothly, and her dog made a quick and full recovery.
